Since this is for RP stuff would there be like a spot to dump like a test thread? I like to BBcode my post for fun and having a spot to do that would be cool!

EDIT: Also I'm going to toy with the signature settings. I did test it out on mobile and it actually formats things pretty well there too. I can control the allowed image dimensions, but I dunno if I actually have control over how many images you can put in there which... might be a problem.

Make them 1 pixel by 1 pixel so anyone who wants to have a lot of images needs to build them manually.

It was set to 3 originally, but nah, gonna kibosh that one. 1 is the maximum now.

EDIT: Updated signature setting to disable images. As amusing as it is to relive those internet days, it can be abused pretty easily.

EDITEDIT: The signature update didn't update retroactively, so I've gone through and eaten everyone's images. Delicious.

Well now we also look like crazy people. Did you also update the number of posts per page? I saw a page 2 previous with 10 posts, but now it's all on one page

I did also update the post count per page, yes. 10 posts per page seemed like an insanely small number, so I upped it to 25.

Is showing a post has been edited and when it was edited a possibility? Generally I think that's good to know.

I looked into this and apparently this is only a feature by default if a moderator/admin edits someone's post and provides a reason. It will display that on the post.

I tried installing an extension to display edit logs just now, but it broke everything, so no luck.

DOUBLE POST?

I updated the role-playing forums with some proper structure, so if people want to actually start up games, they are more than welcome. I also stickied Wordse's big post in the RP discussion forum for quick reference.

Gonna open this up to the next wave of recruits right after this post as well for further testing.

If possible it may not be a bad idea to remove the name of the most recent user (at least to the general population). Like it's fine for us as it stands, but if this ever gets bigger, it feels like it might be a bit too much violation of privacy, especially if someone primarily wants to lurk or something like that. The "who is online" is probably fine since you can set that to be off, but I don't remember seeing a setting to turn off the newest member comment.

Edit: Maybe also locking off the member's index to us, although again, dunno if that's possible

I did not! I'm actually having a lot of trouble getting that contact form to actually send to my email and I haven't been able to figure out why. I don't have an email server on this hosting, so I need to route it through to gmail and it's not working the way I expect.

EDIT: More testing is required and I may have to set up a proper email address at this domain, so for now, please DM suggestions to me!

Update! I have finally, finally fixed the email woes of this website, so if you submit a message to the admin using the link at the bottom of the page, it actually goes to a functional email inbox. As such, registration emails should also be working and replying to the email address that you get board emails from (admin@forums.zarah.tv) will indeed send them to the same inbox. Thank Christ.

In any event, I think I'm going to make some new threads and hopefully get some more interaction here so people don't immediately forget about it. I might see if I can recruit some new people as well.

EDIT: Just in case anyone was wondering, I have tried to get BlueSky posts to embed, but the extension I'm using for it doesn't seem to function anymore, so I dunno if that's going to happen. YouTube videos do embed properly, though. I can confirm that.
